Meet Javier Cabello – A Proven Leader in Coaching, Training and Development

With over two decades of experience at the highest levels of soccer, Javier Cabello brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and a track record of success to this beautiful game. From coaching elite teams in La Liga, to mentoring young players worldwide, his journey is a testament to his passion and expertise.

Javier Cabello’s coaching journey spans a remarkable spectrum of roles and achievements. Early in his career, he nurtured the next generation of football stars as Head Coach of youth teams at Villarreal CF (Spain), setting a foundation for future talent. Later on, he left his mark as professional Coach in some of the historic clubs in Spain like Cultural Leonesa and Cd Castellón. His tenure at Deportivo Alavés (La Liga) showcased his leadership capabilities, stepping in as Head Coach during critical transitions and guiding the team through challenging moments. As Assistant Coach at FC Dallas in the MLS (2022-2024), he contributed to the team’s competitive edge through his tactical acumen.

Beyond coaching, Javier’s managerial expertise is equally impressive. As Technical Director at Elche CF (Spain), he was pivotal in player development and strategic planning. Additionally, his expertise was sought internationally at Aspire Academy (Qatar), where he excelled as both Manager of Scouting and Methodology Coordinator, crafting innovative training programs to shape football excellence. His role as Head Director of the Valencia CF Academy set a strong foundation for youth development, while his work as Scouting Youths Manager at Villarreal CF underscored his skill in talent identification and team building.

Having spent time in Dallas with the MLS and a young son now participating in youth soccer, he identified opportunities to improve programming and development. He set out on a mission “to provide best-in-class coaching, training and methodology to develop highly skilled, intelligent and empowered youth soccer players.” And so JCR Soccer Academy was born!
